Brooklyn based singer songwriter, Danielle Parente, has created a unique sound that combines sultry vocals, hauntingly soulful melodies, ambient textures and carefully crafted lyrics. Influenced by artists such as Sade, Sia, Lauryn Hill, Bjork, Radiohead, Fiona Apple and Imogen Heap, her music crosses over several genres, offering listeners hints of electronic, soul, blues and jazz. After studying Fine Arts in Upstate New York, she switched gears and moved to Manhattan to attend the Institute of Audio Research, where she studied audio engineering and production. She began writing and pre-producing her original songs, and continues to develop as an artist by collaborating with other talented artists and producers and performing with her band in some of New York’s finest live music venues.
