Since their inception in early 2004, THE ETTES have taken the world by storm. Reviews on THE ETTES’ live show regularly comment on the high performance level and stage presence of the band. All longtime performers, THE ETTES are right at home on stage. Poni, on her violently powerful live drumming: “Sometimes it’s an accident”, she suggests. “Other times, I might be trying to attack you. You never can tell.” Deeming THE ETTES, “As fetching as they are ferocious…” MAGNET MAGAZINE got it right when it said THE ETTES were the band to watch in 2007.

Lauded by fans and critics alike, American radio has latched on to THE ETTES: supported by the tastemakers at Seattle’s KEXP, presented by Nic Harcourt’s KCRW in NYC, a favorite of KXLU, WFMU and INDIE 103.1, THE ETTES have won over radio all over the place. THE ETTES tour relentlessly, playing with such acts as RADIO BIRDMAN, THE CONSTANTINES, THE NEW YORK DOLLS, and THE MUFFS, to mention a very few. THE ETTES even supported ‘80s punk icons THE GO-GO’S. As noted artist and rock critic Falling James (LA WEEKLY) put it simply, “THE ETTES are it.”

THE ETTES recorded at Toerag Studios in London with Liam Watson (White Stripes, Kills, etc.) releasing their debut LP Shake the Dust on Sympathy for the Record Industry in September 2007. They are returning to the UK to record album #2 with Liam Watson at Toerag in July 2007, with UK and European dates to follow.
